With all the heavy machinery, orange barrels, and "Road Closed" signs right outside our doors at 10th Street and Raceway Road, it’s easy to wonder exactly what’s happening behind the barricades.
Well, we finally have the scoop from the town of Avon and the construction crew, and we wanted to share the latest update with our amazing community!
Signs of Progress: There’s a Giant Hole! 🚜
There’s now a giant hole in the middle of the intersection—and in this case, that’s a welcome sight! It means the roundabout construction at 10th Street and Raceway Road is moving right along.
We’re thankful for the good weather, which has allowed the construction crew to make lots of progress. ☀️ The roundabout is currently estimated to be completed by mid-October.
Yes, We Are COMPLETELY Open! 🚘🌸
Gillespie Florists remains fully open, fully stocked and ready to welcome you throughout construction. You’ll just need to take a specific route to reach us:
- 🚗 Access our parking lot from northbound Raceway Road. You’ll need to approach us from Rockville Road and travel north on Raceway Road.
- 🚧 Drive past the barricades and follow the signs pointing you toward our shop.
- ⛔ Our parking lot cannot currently be accessed from 10th Street.
- ⏰ We are open Monday–Saturday from 8 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
- 🌸 We deliver throughout Indianapolis and the surrounding suburbs if you’d rather let us navigate the construction for you.
- 🗓️ Construction is currently estimated to be completed by mid-October.
