Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Kennedy Smith, a valued member of our Customer Service & Order Control team!
Kennedy has been part of the Gillespie Florists family for seven years. Her story with us began when she was just 15 years old and came in to help her mom during the busy Prom and Mother’s Day season. What started as lending a hand quickly became a permanent role, and we’re so glad it did!
When you call or visit Gillespie Florists, Kennedy may be one of the friendly faces helping make sure your order is just right. She loves helping our customers celebrate life’s happiest moments—from anniversaries and new babies to all the special occasions in between—and providing comfort through life’s most difficult days.
Kennedy has a special gift for helping families select meaningful funeral tributes. She takes the time to learn about each loved one’s interests, personality and cherished memories, helping create floral arrangements that tell a story and honor a life well lived. Her hope is that every family she works with feels a little more peace and comfort during the planning process.

One of Kennedy’s favorite parts of working at Gillespie Florists is the close-knit, family atmosphere she shares with her coworkers—especially getting to work alongside her mom during our busy holiday seasons.
When she’s not at the shop, Kennedy enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, traveling and soaking up the sunshine. She’s also pursuing a degree in Accounting at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business!
