The commercial was encouraging consumers "not to wait in long lines and pay the high prices at a traditional florist, go to their website or call toll free and send two dozen roses for just $39.99 and they'll include a free vase and chocolates too!" I thought to myself, "sure, a cheap plastic vase, a tiny box of chocolates and short roses delivered in a box, without hydration or conditioning, shipped directly to the recipient’s home or office, turning a gift of love, into a gift of labor and disappointment!” In the end, the consumer will have spent at least $60.00 (which includes the $20 shipping fee) for sub-standard product and possibly have a negative impression of giving flowers as a gift in the future.

Valentine Red Dozen rosesWhat online flower companies want the consumers to forget is that local florists are as close as your telephone or internet connection. The cost might be a little higher, but the consumer is supporting the local economy and being provided a superior product and service. When customers walk into our store, call or visit our website, they will see our products and interact with our staff. Our friendly staff takes the time to help select the perfect gift to express the emotion of the occasion. Our designer then transforms flowers into an expression of love and splendor to ensure wonderful memories for years to come. Our delivery driver transports the gift to a home or office to create delight and excitement for all to see.
